The Dee Kapadiya Girl Gang: A Community That Celebrates Every Body
When we founded Dee Kapadiya on January 4th, 2017, we didn't just want to build a fashion brand. We wanted to build a movement. A community of women who celebrate each other, champion each other and show up for each other — regardless of size, background or where they come from.
We called it the Dee Kapadiya Girl Gang. And nearly a decade later, the DKGG has become the heartbeat of everything we do.
The Moment the World Showed Up for Us
When we released our size inclusive campaign showcasing our designs on different body types, something extraordinary happened. Women from across the world responded — not just with views and likes, but with words that moved us deeply.
One comment in particular stopped us in our tracks:
"Here is proof that no one is perfect — the first one having dark complexion with a line figure and another one having a fair complexion with a chubby figure — but both are looking stunning 💞💞"
Both are looking stunning. That is it. That is the whole mission of Dee Kapadiya in one comment from a stranger on the internet. We couldn't have said it better ourselves.
The outpouring of love, support and solidarity from our community in that moment reminded us exactly why we started and exactly why we will never stop. When we put real women of different body types, skin tones and sizes in our designs, the world notices. And the world responds.
