At Dee Kapadiya, size inclusivity was never a trend we jumped on. It was a conviction we were built on.
From the very beginning, we knew the woman we were designing for. She is confident, bold and unapologetically herself. She loves her culture, celebrates her heritage and deserves to feel absolutely stunning in what she wears, regardless of the number on her label. And yet, for too long, the Indian fashion industry has told women above a certain size that the most beautiful silhouettes simply weren't made for them.
We refused to accept that.

When we shot our size inclusive campaign featuring the Match My Energy Lehenga Set in Sage Green on both our models, we had no idea what was about to happen.
The reel went viral. 15.9 million views on Instagram. 4.7 million views on TikTok. Nearly 21 million people stopped scrolling to watch. That number didn't just tell us people loved the content. It told us how desperately the world was waiting to see themselves represented in Indian fashion. Women from across the globe flooded our comments and DMs, women who had never seen themselves in Indian fashion before, women who had given up looking, women who said for the first time they felt seen.
That response changed everything. It confirmed what we had always believed and gave us the courage to shout it even louder.

Bridal Memoirs #4: Dharti Patel: Henna Ceremony Outfit!
One of our 2019 bride Dharti had liked our Gulab Skirt in a beautiful light teal blue floral printed organza cropped skirt, so she booked an appointment to try out the piece. Since all our pieces are sold separately, she tried on the skirt and liked the Rani Top to go long with the skirt. She wanted to add sleeves to the top so we gave her frill detail sleeves. She opted for contrast colours to go along with her bright and colorful Henna ceremony decor. Here are some of the photos from her Henna Ceremony!!
